ice cream for a Valentine school party

Hello. I am doing a Valentine party at my child's school. I would like to serve ice cream to the kids. Which is the best way to keep it from melting for about 1.5-2 hours? A cooler with regular ice? Dry ice? What does your experience say?

I'd probably use a cooler and several ice packs. That way it stays cold but doesn't melt and produce water. If you don't own enough ice packs, you may be able to get other parents to bring some.

Can you use the fridge/freezer in the teachers' lounge?

This was going to be my suggestion. I have done ice cream in my classroom before and it got mushy quick. I would definitely take it straight from freezer to bowls if possible.

Thank you so much for your reply. Did you use a cooler and icepacks and for how long?

No. I took it straight from the freezer in the teacher's lounge to putting it in bowls for my kids.
